Phlebotomy

In medical science, blood test outcomes are used in about 80% of diagnoses. Blood tests can reveal many medical conditions, including blood abnormalities, infectious agents, viruses, and even some cancers. Extracting blood from a vein is known as phlebotomy, and it is a part of any diagnostic procedure. The term "phlebotomist" or "phlebotomy technician" refers to a healthcare practitioner who draws blood. Acme Hospital's Phlebotomists are highly-qualified, competent, and skilled. Further, they conform to all medical conditions.

The phlebotomist will prep the puncture area with 70% alcohol before taking a blood sample, and it is then wrapped with a sterile dressing afterwards. They discard any needles and other medical supplies appropriately as blood experts following the blood extraction.

Further, when dealing with blood and needles, our phlebotomists follow preventative and sanitary procedures. This minimises infections, injuries, and the spread of blood-borne illnesses.

Patient Care

At Acme Hospitals, we acknowledge that some people fear needles, blood, or medical needles or injections. The phlebotomist's job entails more than simply locating and extracting blood from a vein.

The phlebotomist's job entails more than simply locating and extracting blood from a vein. Before introducing a needle, our well-trained and successful phlebotomist can put their patient at peace by explaining the approach, addressing concerns, and ensuring that they are as comfortable as possible with the process.

To assist uncomfortable patients in relaxing, they must be courteous, polite, and compassionate. More importantly, they can communicate effectively in explaining technical procedures in simple and layman's terms.

Reports

Usually, you can get the report of any minor diagnostic tests within 24 hours or in the evening on the day of the procedure. However, certain complicated or high-profile diagnostic tests may need time to assess the blood sample and generate the report properly. In that case, the report may take about 48 hours or 72 hours, depending on the type of test you order or the doctor prescribes.
